Cedrus ‘Cyprian Cedar’ (Cedrus brevifolia var horizontalis)

Description

Cyprian Cedar is a very rare conifer in cultivation. It is slow growing, growing to approximately 2m in height over the first 10 years. It has dark green, very short needles. The branches grow horizontally and the tree develops a rounded crown with age. It may need staking in the early years to develop the upright habit. Having the short needles makes it a favourite with bonsai enthusiasts.
